Interpretation
Innocent is for the person who once humiliated her. Most would fire back; she says: the kid inside you is still clean. That "I don't hold grudges, but I see through you" grace is harder than any insult.
Every time, I think this is real maturity — not winning, but letting him off, and letting herself off too. It's gentler than she usually is, and precisely because it's unlike her, it feels precious.
