Speak Now

Speak Now's premise is delicious: she bursts in mid-wedding to steal the groom. A "homewrecker" plot, reframed as a righteous "don't miss your chance" — because he was always supposed to be hers.

I can't help laughing, and a little swooning. It catches that "almost too late" panic as playful and exhilarating. The whole album is called Speak Now for this very reason: some things, unspoken, are lost for good.
