Interpretation
The cleverness is that it pretends to just complain "if I were a man, they wouldn't treat me like this," when every line is actually jabbing at the glass ceiling of double standards. Have you ever noticed — same action, different gender, totally reversed review?
It does its sharpest work in the cheekiest tone. Taylor isn't shouting a slogan; she's just imagining — if she were the "him" allowed to be angry, ambitious, imperfect, would the world be a little kinder? You'll laugh, then realize you've been measured that way too.
