Interpretation
What's cunning about Fearless is it's not "fierce" at all. No slogans — just a soft, bright "whatever, let's jump." I've always felt Taylor found early on a knack for treating fear not as something shameful but as a reason to leap.
Sometimes it gets me right in the chest, because it's so young and so sure. A nineteen-year-old singing "I believe love is worth the risk" — not from naivety, but because she genuinely means it. That unguarded bravery shows up less and less in her later work, which is exactly why this one feels precious.
