I Knew You Were Trouble
Curator's Note
Interpretation
I Knew You Were Trouble is her first dive into the electronic mud — the beat wobbles like the heart does. It's: I saw you'd wreck me, and I went anyway.
I like that 'knew it and jumped anyway' honesty. How many people dump all the blame post-breakup? She says 'I knew you were trouble, I jumped in myself.' The dubstep mess fits 'self-made chaos' — not classy, but true.
