Haunted is anxious to begin with; the acoustic peels off the theatrical production, leaving the panic closer and right by your ear. The re-recorded acoustic is like someone leaning in the dark to whisper 'I'm scared to lose you.'

I like that 'bare' fear — a big band lends you courage; a guitar makes you hear your own heartbeat. It isn't grand, but it's true. The clawing before loss never needed a loud drum.
