Curator's Note

Interpretation

The brilliance is the perspective: a teenage boy, red-faced, wanting to apologize to Betty at graduation. Haven't you had a teenage "sorry" left unsaid, becoming a forever "if"?

It writes the teen triangle as a clumsy apology letter. Taylor, through the boy, tells that "I was dumb but I really liked you" sincerity. You'll feel even youthful mess-ups are clean.

This is an interpretation based on publicly available material. Not official commentary.
