Begin Again is the album's period and exit. After a whole record of red, she softly says: okay, I'll try once more. Paris, coffee, a kind man who pulls out my chair — new love is quiet but enough to cover the old red.

A moving close. Not 'I forgot him' but 'I can think of him without hurting.' Red spent an album on chaos; the gentlest song tells you: wounds heal, people begin again. You'll feel: okay, it's alright now.
