Interpretation

Strip the band, leave the guitar and the refusal to forgive. The original's production wrapped the anger in "satisfaction"; the acoustic version breaks it back to its raw shape — a wronged person looking right at you, settling the score line by line.

It's somehow harder than the polished version, because nothing in the arrangement is there to embolden you — just voice and strings. You can tell she means it for someone specific. That bare-knuckled power is the magic of every unplugged performance she'd give later.
